  • Contact the Studio Manager by email at danspacestudio@gmail.com or by phone at 422-6279. Note: The DANS office does not make bookings.
  • The Studio is generally only available on weekends: Friday evening to Sunday evening.
  • Bookings must be made at least four weeks in advance.
  • Daytime rehearsals may be possible, depending on the level of noise generated.
  • The rental fee - contact Studio Manager
  • Note: DANSpace is suitable for informal studio presentations and small theatrical, dance or musical performances. It is not a fully outfitted performance space.

General Guidelines for Performances

  • The Studio Manager or a designated DANS employee must be present at all times when the studio is in use. 
  • Booking time must include arrival, set-up, strike and departure. 
  • The studio is not generally available between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m, Monday-Friday. because of offices located directly below.
  • Quiet set-up and rehearsals may be booked during these times but must be cleared with the owners of the building.
  • Other terms and conditions apply and are outlined in the contract. 
  • Twelve black flats are available, but the client is responsible for setting them up and for striking after use.
  • Very modest lighting and sound equipment is available, however DANSpace is not responsible for its condition. Renters must provide gels. There is a $35.00 charge per weekend, for use of the lighting and sound equipment.
  • There are sixty chairs for audience and two levels of risers.
  • The maximum number of people allowed in the studio is 100, including cast, staff and audience.
  • There are no dressing rooms.
To Book the Studio for Dance Class
  • Contact the Studio Manager by email at danspacestudio@gmail.com or by phone at 422-6279. Note: The DANS office does not make bookings.
  • Maximum booking time per client is one evening per week, Monday to Friday for regular on-going classes.
  • Extra hours may be booked on weekends for special workshops and rehearsals.
  • Weekends are usually reserved for special events. Clients who wish to book regular classes on Friday nights, Saturdays or Sundays may be pre-empted on three weeks notice.

General Guidelines
  • The Studio Manager or a designated DANS employee must be present at all times when the studio is in use. 
  • The minimum booking is two hours, but the two-hour block may be shared with another group or individual. 
  • Booking time must include arrival, set-up and departure. 
    The rental fee is $23.00 for the first hour and $18 for each consecutive hour. 
  • The studio is not generally available between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m, Monday-Friday. because of offices located directly below. Quiet activities such as Yoga, stretch class and dance for seniors may be permitted from time to time, but must be cleared with the owners of the building. 
  • Other terms and conditions apply and are outlined in the contract. 
  • There is a fifteen minute turnover time between clients.
  • Marley dance floor is available, but the client is responsible for laying the floor plus cleaning and striking after use.
  • If the sound equipment is available clients may use it, however DANSpace is not responsible for its condition and availability.
